In 2008 Shoot for the Cure Montana, Co-founders Dave and Ann White attended an archery shoot in Nevada and were introduced to the pink arrow project. Discussions began about having a shoot for the cure and donating the proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Plans were made and the first annual Shoot for the Cure was held May 17, 2009.
